- The MLS Season begins on March 29, so it’s time to do the right thing and get ready with Soccerlens’ MLS Season Preview. I contributed my bit with an interview with Bryan James, one of the founders of The Son’s of Ben supporters group.
-
Those of you who support Fox Soccer Channel will be happy to know they have the very first MLS Opening Day Double Header scheduled for the 29th. The matches in the said ”MLS television history making event” are a New England/Houston matchup first, with Los Angeles taking on Colorado a bit later.
-
Anyone remember Djemba-Djemba? I’d forgotten about him until I read this somewhat heartbreaking piece from Sniffing The Touchline. The Jist: Footballers are young guys- who’s watching out for them?
-
Upon checking the handy “Stats” section of WordPress, I saw most people who come to The Groundsman’s Shed are looking for the thrilling and extremely scientific prediction on how long it would take Arsenal’s Eduardo to recover from Martin Taylor’s horror tackle. In J-School we were taught to always follow up on our stories, so here’s the update: Eduardo is alive. His leg is still broken, but he somehow managed to combine Hanes Her Way sweatpants and my flashy auntie’s jacket in a stunning statement to convey his own personal pain at watching Arsenal self destruct in the most attractive possible way.
-
It may also be worth a mention that Martin Taylor is coming back from his ban to play in the Birmingham reserves on Tuesday. Cesc Fabregas isn’t over it yet, nor are a lot of Arsenal fans- but I’m more concerned about Arsenal finding a way to somehow get a trophy despite repeatedly bottling it in the second half of the season.
-
This is an amazingly strange Pepsi commercial starring David Beckham, Thierry Henry, Cesc Fabregas, Frank Lampard, and Lionel Messi. …Lampard is wearing a ninja costume. Fact.
